Peter Hill is a restructuring and turnaround professional with 20 years of experience advising companies, boards, lenders, and capital providers across a broad range of insolvency and special situation matters, including Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors, Article 9 foreclosures, Chapter 11 reorganizations, and managed wind-downs.
Peter has managed complex cross-border restructurings in a variety of roles, including financial advisor to the debtor, interim officer, and fiduciary to the estate. Prior to joining Sherwood Partners, he held financial advisory roles at Alvarez & Marsal and AlixPartners.
Peter brings deep expertise in liquidity management and cash preservation. He provides operational leadership while serving as the primary point of contact to management, boards, lenders, and creditor constituencies throughout periods of business distress. He has served as sales agent across numerous ABCs, overseeing sale processes from initial marketing through close, claims validation, and creditor distributions — consistently delivering clean resolutions while protecting critical business relationships and maximizing recoveries.
Peter holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Master of Science in Optical Sciences from The University of Arizona. He holds both the Certified Insolvency & Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) and Certified Turnaround Analyst (CTA) certifications.
