Joshua Pichinson is a Managing Director at Sherwood Partners, Inc., where he specializes in corporate restructuring, business wind-downs, and the monetization of distressed assets. Since joining Sherwood in 2011, he has led numerous engagements involving Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors (ABCs), receiverships, and other insolvency proceedings, consistently delivering value-maximizing outcomes for stakeholders.
In addition to his role at Sherwood, Joshua serves as Managing Director of agencyIP, Sherwood’s sister company focused on intellectual property (IP) strategy, sales, and licensing. Since 2013, he has represented a diverse clientele—from Fortune 500 companies to individual inventors—in the strategic monetization of patents, trademarks, copyrights, and other intangible assets. His innovative approach to IP valuation and deal structuring has earned him a reputation for unlocking hidden value in complex IP portfolios.
Joshua’s expertise in IP strategy has been recognized by IAM Media, which has named him to the IAM Strategy 300 list of the world’s leading IP strategists for multiple consecutive years. He is also a frequent speaker on topics related to technology, IP monetization and corporate restructuring.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis on entrepreneurship from Chapman University.
