Georgiana Nertea brings over 15 years of experience in public accounting and advisory, specializing in the financial services industry.

Her career began as an auditor, but for the past 13 years, she has focused on the Bankruptcy and Insolvency practice. Georgiana has played crucial roles in Chapter 11 cases, working with debtors, trustees, unsecured creditors' committees, and federal agencies. Her expertise covers forensic investigations, fraudulent conveyances, preference actions, and in-depth research into distressed companies.

Before joining Sherwood Partners, Inc., Georgiana was a Senior Manager at EisnerAmper LLP and an Associate at Arthur Andersen LLP.

Georgiana holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Syracuse University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA).

Active in professional associations, Georgiana is a member of NYSSCPA, TMA, ABI, AIRA, and IWIRC, where she served on the board and contributes to conference planning.

She is the Founder of the Orange Circle of Restructuring and Litigation and a recipient of the Women in Achievement Award - Renaissance Award from the New York Institute of Credit Women's Division.

Fluent in Romanian and German, with a basic understanding of French and Italian, Georgiana's diverse skill set and dedication make her an invaluable asset to any team.
